How a Xerocon Dance Party helped usher an International Accounting Alliance
Dance parties always have hits that get people moving, the electric slide, the cupid shuffle and Suavemente by Elvis Crespo. Xerocon 2018 in Atlanta, GA was the first gathering of firms from North, Central, and South America including the Caribbean where the Spanish language was the common ground.
Today we are extending the dance floor as we launch the Contabi Alliance, an international alliance of independent accounting and business services firms across the Americas. Our Founding Five Countries, serving thousands of clients, all with a passion for serving the clients within their communities.
The founding firms have each built out accounting models specific to their markets with Xero and other strategic cloud applications. While ever-changing reforms and compliance impact their clients, they have relied on award-winning tools to continue to deliver value, even when the products are not 100% translated into Spanish.
Accounting is a global language of business, the Contabi Alliance aims to be a primary resource hub for small to mid-sized firms looking to grow within our international community.
Who is Contabi?
Contabi is short for contabilidad, Spanish for Accounting.
The Founding Directors are early adopters of cloud accounting in LATAM, specifically within the Xero Partner community. These directors will serve as ambassadors within their markets to stimulate the growth of our membership base via live and online events in Spanish.
Additionally, each will provide educational courses, consulting, and app advisory. Our member benefits are attractive to firms who want to bring innovation to their firms have support from others who are on the journey without the fear of competition and maintain their independence.
